Ruderman Family Foundation

The Center for Modern Torah Leadership is grateful for the support of and partnership with the Ruderman Family Foundation (RFF). The Center's 2014 Summer Beit Midrash grappled with questions of Halakha and disability and will be producing an e-book with the help of RFF on the topic. The SBM fellows along with Dean Rabbi Aryeh Klapper will be disseminating their writings on CMTL's blog and Facebook page along with other shiurim given by the fellows on this year's theme. You can find these shiurim, blog posts and divrei torah on our website under the "Articles" tab.

"I was pleased to learn that this year the Summer Bet Midrash, led by Rabbi Klapper, selected the theme  'Is Religious Experience a Right?  Halakhah and Disability'.  It is my hope that this summer’s fellows will share widely what they learned about scriptural perspectives on disability, and that this will encourage others to fully embrace the inclusion of people with disabilities in our Jewish communities." -Sharon Shapiro, Ruderman Family Foundation Trustee and Director of the Boston Office
