Yeshivat Hakayitz

The Center for Modern Torah Leadership is pleased that our new program, Yeshivat Hakayitz, is returning this summer. This program is ideal for high school and middle school students who wish to learn Rabbinic Literature over the summer in an Orthodox environment in the Boston area. Mrs. Deborah Klapper serves as the director for this program.

If you are interested in learning more about the Center, please contact us at moderntorahleadership@gmail.com. Our Summer Beit Midrash program for college students and adults is 15 years old, and we have run many other programs in the Boston area.

The dates for this summer's program are July 1-5 (not including Independence Day).  The program will take place at Young Israel of Sharon. Below is a short description of the program and a proposed schedule. Tuition will be $250 per week. Financial aid is available.

Tentative Schedule:

9:30-10:45 chevruta on materials for that day's shiur. Chevruta time will allow students to enjoy the experience of learning in an active and lively beit midrash shared with our fellowship program. A teacher will be available in the beit midrash to provide help and guidance, as necessary.

10:45-11 snack and break (snack provided)

11-12:15 shiur – One of our Summer Beit Midrash fellows presents a shiur on the sources learned in chevruta.

12:15-1:15 Lunch with the fellows, and/or guest lecturer (lunch is provided, kosher under the supervision of Rabbi Meir Sendor)

1:15-2 Outdoor activity, as appropriate to the weather
